Control of infrared heaters using thermostats
One of the advantages infrared heating systems is the ability to work with various control devices. First of all, these are ordinary mechanical and electronic thermostatsjust maintaining the set temperature.
It is also possible to connect programmable control devices. With the help of such devices, a variety of tasks can be performed. For example, you can set the heater to turn on on individual days, and even hours. All mentioned automatic devices can also be used to control heating. infrared underfloor heating.
Mechanical temperature controllers for infrared heaters
Mechanical thermostats are produced by many companies, while their parameters differ slightly. Almost all are designed for installation on the wall, the type of installation of the invoice or mortise, which allows you to use them with any type of wiring.
An example is mechanical temperature controller of the German production Eberle RTR-6163. The temperature controller was designed to control room temperature. It has a built-in air temperature sensor. When the air temperature reaches the set limit, the heating system is turned off.
It can be used to adjust the temperature in the range + 5 ... + 30ºС. Temperature control is carried out using the wheel on the case. With a supply voltage of 250V, the relay can switch current 16A, which allows you to control a load of up to 3.0 kW. At the same time, the overall dimensions of the device are only 75 * 75 * 25.5 mm. The mechanical temperature regulators of other companies have exactly the same parameters: the Italian IMIT TA3 and the temperature regulator of the same German company Eberle RTR-6121.

Programmable thermostats for infrared heaters
As an example programmable thermostat can lead Bilux T73 Russian production. The temperature control range is slightly higher than that of mechanical ones - + 5 ... + 45ºС. The output current and power of the switched load is the same as that of mechanical temperature controllers, the protection class is also IP 20.
The Bilux T73 has a very convenient LCD touch screen with backlight. The temperature regulator kit includes two temperature sensors - air and for underfloor heating. The device is programmed for 7 days.

Parallel connection of several infrared heaters is allowed to one thermostat, but their total power should not exceed 3.0 kW. The thermostat itself is installed on the wall inside the room at a height of 1.25 ... 1.5 m, which corresponds to the instructions for the operation of the device. The connecting wires are not included in the set of the thermostat, therefore they are purchased independently. The cross-section of the wires should correspond to the power of the connected heaters.
Parallel connection of several heaters to one thermostat is shown in Figure 5.
