UNIMAT Carbon Thermomat - New Electric Underfloor Heating
Carbon thermostat UNIMAT-a new system for the manufacture of underfloor heating, space heating. It has a unique adaptability property and saves energy.
One of the leading companies in South Korea - GT3 has developed and launched the production of a new system for underfloor heating. This carbon rod based system is called Unimat. Another name for this system is “thermomat”.
Using the Unimat heating system, it is possible to create heating in a room of any size and shape due to the fact that the Unimat heating system is based on the principles of infrared radiation.
Structurally, UNIMAT thermomat consists of carbon fiber rods connected in parallel and is available in rolls up to 30 m long. The rods are designed with a protective coating that protects them from aggressive substances and makes the entire system electrically safe.
Such properties make it possible to install the UNIMAT thermomat even in open space, for example, as an anti-icing device.
One of the distinguishing features of UNIMAT floor heating is the so-called Living Heat.
Almost the entire spectrum of UNIMAT floor heating is in the range of infrared radiation, the wavelength of which is 8 ... 14 microns. This spectrum is optimal for humans, since the human body absorbs and releases heat precisely in this range.
UNIMAT infrared heating is used in spa procedures, saunas, and even for heating premature babies in special couves, which also indicates safety infrared heating.
The heat received during the operation of the UNIMAT system is distributed evenly throughout the room, while ensuring freshness and humidity, because such a system does not burn oxygen. Moreover, the concentration of negatively charged ions increases in the room. For this purpose, various additional devices are used, such as Chizhevsky's chandelier or more sophisticated modern aeroion generators.
The UNIMAT floor heating system has adaptive properties. The fact is that its heating elements are made of carbon rods having a positive TCS.
Carbon rods are made of fine graphite. When heated, the rods expand, leading to an increase in the distance between the grains of graphite and a decrease in the contact area between them. This leads to an increase in the resistance of the rod. Therefore, the power released by the rod decreases. When the temperature drops, everything happens in the reverse order. Due to this, the rod has the properties of self-regulation. Moreover, the foregoing does not apply to the entire core as a whole, but even to its individual sections. Therefore, overheating of an individual rod, or a portion of the rod, as well as the entire floor as a whole, is simply impossible.
Installing UNIMAT underfloor heating compared to a conventional resistive underfloor heating can save up to 50 ... 60% of electricity. Such savings were made possible by combining the infrared heating method and the UNIMAT floor heating ability for self-regulation. Of course, connecting a UNIMAT floor heating is possible only with the use of a thermostat, with the help of which additional energy savings of almost 30% are possible.
The design of the UNIMAT floor heating is such that it does not overheat and as a result of damage to the expensive flooring and burning out of the UNIMAT floor heating itself. The system will continue to work even if one or more of the rods is damaged, because all rods are connected in parallel. The normal operation period of UNIMAT floor heating according to the manufacturer is 50 years.
Another unique feature of UNIMAT floor heating is that heat spreads evenly over the entire floor surface. This is one of the requirements of laminate flooring and floorboard manufacturers. Therefore, the UNIMAT floor heating system is ideal for all types of flooring.

Another positive feature of UNIMAT floor heating is the ease of installation. UNIMAT is available in rolls up to 30m long: it is enough to cut pieces into the size of the room during the laying process. UNIMAT floor heating is evenly installed, which avoids the calculation of the installation step. To heat your room, and not the neighbors below or the basement, a reflective coating should be installed under the UNIMAT floor heating.
Operation of UNIMAT floor heating is possible only after the screed has completely hardened. By building standards, it is 28 days. This is probably the only drawback of UNIMAT floor heating.
